Driven by a lifelong passion for art, architecture, and interiors, Dess began her professional career in interior design in 2016. Since then, she has worked alongside respected Bay Area designers, gaining hands-on experience in residential design, project management, and the many details required to bring a home together beautifully.

Raised in a family of entrepreneurs, Dess grew up surrounded by creativity, renovation and the reimagining of homes. That early exposure shaped both her eye for design and her belief that a beautiful space should also feel personal, functional and deeply connected to the people who live in it.

Before moving fully into interiors, Dess spent more than 20 years in event design, creating celebrations and environments with the same attention to composition, detail and experience that now informs her interiors and retail curation.

Recognizing the value of collaboration, she partnered with longtime friend Leslie Gil to co-found Curated Studio Designs. Together, they created a retail studio and interior design firm that reflects their shared love of art, furnishings, objects and thoughtful design.

Dess believes great design is not about imposing a particular aesthetic. It is about uncovering what feels authentic to each client and translating that into a home that feels collected, personal and entirely their own.
